Since I haven't posted any news here for a while it may seem like nothing's going on with me at the moment. In fact quite the opposite is true - apart from my gigs, of course, I've been planning a new show for Dance Radio which should kick off in September. I've also been working intensively on a new track which hopefully I'll be able to present here soon.

As some of you may know, for almost 12 years now the last Saturday of the month has always been Climax at Prague's Roxy club. During that time Climax has been cancelled only a very few times and only for serious reasons - namely floods which filled the Roxy up to the balcony with water and the town council temporarily closing the club due to noise complaints. But because during this time the club has seen little in the way of a refurb, it's now well overdue. For this reason Climax won't be taking place either this month or the next. You can look forward to the new interier and the well needed air conditioning at the opening party on the 3rd September when I'll be playing alongside Tvyks, Roman Rai and Lucas Hulan.

Instead of Climax I'll be playing this Saturday at Maddox Open Air at Melice. I've played this event in the past a number of times but because of Climax I always had to play an early set  so I'ld have time to get back to Prague. Since this time I don't have to, you can catch me there 1:30 - 3 am. I'll have time beforehand, though, to play 8-9 pm at the opening party of River Lounge at Zlute Lazne in Prague where I'm on the bill with Michael Burian, Elite and others.

Právě začíná 45. ročník mezinárodního filmového festivalu v Karlových Varech a jako každý rok kromě filmu je i bohatý hudební program. A taky stejně jako každý rok se v Karlových Varech objevím i já, letos dokonce dvakrát. V pondělí 5. července zahraju s Michaelem Burian na zřejmě jedné z největších akci festivalu v Karlovarském aréně. Nasledující den - útery 6. července zahraju v poněkud komornějším prostředí baru přímo v centru festivalového děje v hotelu Thermal.

The 45th annual Karlový Vary International Film Festival is just beginning and like every year apart from the films there is a plentiful musical program too. And like every year I'm going to be appearing there, twice this year in fact. On Monday 5th July I'm playing with Michael Burian at probably one of the biggest events of the festival at the Karlový Vary arena. The next day - Tuesday 6th July - I'm playing in the somewhat more intimate surroundings of one of the bars right at the centre of festival happenings at hotel Thermal.

Tuto sobotu bude poslední mejdan v Roxy jak jsme ho do teď znali. Chystá se totiž rozsáhlá rekonstrukce a klub bude během prazdnin zavřený. Rozloučíme se však ve velkém stylu v čele se španělským esem Abelem Ramosem. Tady je line-up:

This Saturday is the last party at Prague's Roxy club as we have known it to date. That's because the club is closing over the summer holidays for a major reconstruction. Is been quite a while since we had a new guest mix here and what better excuse than the visit of Spain's Abel Ramos to Climax next Saturday, 26th June? Abel Ramos, whom you are sure to know thanks to his tracks such as Cava or remixes such as When Loves Takes Over for David Guetta, recorded this set just a week ago at the Rock In Rio festival in his home town of Madrid and so serves as a perfect example of his current sound.
